释义 |
The Hadejia River (Hausa: kogin Haɗeja) is a river in northern Nigeria and is a tributary of the Yobe River (Komadugu Yobe).[1] Among the cities and towns that lie on or near its banks are Hadejia[1] and Nguru. Damming of the river for the purposes of irrigation has led to a decrease in the amount of water in the Hadejia-Nguru wetlands,[2] which the river forms along with Nguru Lake. The Hadejia river is now 80% controlled by the Tiga and Challawa Gorge dams in Kano State.[3][4] References1. ^1 {{cite encyclopedia | encyclopedia = Encyclopædia Britannica| title = Hadejia| url = http://www.britannica.com/eb/article-9038730/Hadejia| accessdate = 2006-12-22| publisher = Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc.}} {{coord|12.651667|10.647222|display=title}}{{Bauchi-geo-stub}}{{Jigawa-geo-stub}}{{Kano-geo-stub}}{{Yobe-geo-stub}}{{Nigeria-river-stub}}2. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.aaas.org/international/ehn/waterpop/acreman.htm |last=Acreman|first=Michael|title= Principles of Water Management for People and the Environment|accessdate=2007-05-13 |work=Aaas.org |publisher=American Association for the Advancement of Science}} 3. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.fao.org/docrep/W4347E/w4347e11.htm |title=Irrigation potential in Africa: A basin approach |date=1997 |publisher=United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization |accessdate=2009-10-01}} 4. ^{{cite web |url = http://na.unep.net/AfricaLakes/AtlasDownload/PDFs/Africas-Chapter3-2b-Screen.pdf |title = Challawa Gorge Reservoir |publisher = United Nations Environment Program |accessdate = 2009-10-03 |deadurl = yes |archiveurl = https://web.archive.org/web/20090509215612/http://na.unep.net//AfricaLakes/AtlasDownload/PDFs/Africas-Chapter3-2b-Screen.pdf |archivedate = 2009-05-09 |df = }} 5 : Rivers of Nigeria|Bauchi State|Jigawa State|Kano State|Yobe State |
