The {{nihongo|Hakone Tozan Cable Car|箱根登山ケーブルカー|Hakone Tozan Kēburukā}}, officially the {{nihongo|Cable Line|鋼索線|Kōsaku-sen}}, is a funicular railway in the town of Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by {{nihongo|Hakone Tozan Railway|箱根登山鉄道|Hakone Tozan Tetsudō}}. This company belongs to the Odakyū Group, who also own Hakone Tozan mountain railway line. The funicular links Gōra, the upper terminus of the railway line, with Sōunzan {{convert|214|m|ft|0}} above. At Sōunzan, connection is made with the Hakone Ropeway, which runs to Tōgendai on Lake Ashi.[1] Opened in 1922, the line was rebuilt in 1995, when new cars replaced the old.[1] StatisticsThe line has the following technical parameters:[1][2]
