In 1994 she became the UK's first "Alternative Health Agony Aunt" in the UK national press, with her highly regarded{{Citation needed|date=September 2012}} and ground-breaking column "What's The Alternative" in the Daily Mail.[2] In 1997 she moved to the Style Section of the Sunday Times and was voted Health Journalist of the Year.[2] In 1998, she left the Sunday Times to concentrate on writing more books.
