Heathcote Community is a medium-sized intentional community located in rural Maryland, USA, about {{convert|30|mi|km}} north of Baltimore. The community was founded by Mildred Loomis in 1965. Heathcote, situated on a {{convert|44|acre|adj=on}} community land trust next to a {{convert|68|acre|m2|sing=on}} plot owned by some of its members, had a total of about 20 adult and child members as of 2006. The meals at Heathcote are organic and vegetarian. The community also has a permaculture focus[1] and is currently being re-created as a permaculture demonstration site.
