He was included in the New Zealand side for the 1999 Confederations Cup finals tournament[5] and he ended his international playing career with 28 A-international caps and 3 goals to his credit, his final cap a substitute appearance in a 7-0 win over Vanuatu on 13 June 2001.[6][7] Post-retirementNgata works occasionally as a football commentator for SKY TV in New Zealand. He has worked in the role of Sports Ambassador for the SPARC organisation (Sport & Recreation New Zealand).[8] References1. ^"Where players come from" - BBC article 2. ^booksinhomes.org.nz 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.ozfootball.net/ark/Players/N/NA.html|title=Australian Player Database|author=|publisher=OzFootball|date=|accessdate=2008-09-03}} 4. ^Profile of Harry Ngata on NZ Football {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20050627153625/http://nzsoccer.com/page/harry_ngata.html |date=27 June 2005 }} 5. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.nzsoccer.com/page/1999_confederation_cup_players.html|title=1999 Confederation Cup Squad|author=|publisher=NZ Football|date=|accessdate=2008-09-03 |archiveurl = https://web.archive.org/web/20080723163859/http://www.nzsoccer.com/page/1999_confederation_cup_players.html |archivedate = 2008-07-23}} 6. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.ultimatenzsoccer.com/NZRepSoccer/id1708.htm |title=A-International Appearances - Overall |author= |publisher=The Ultimate New Zealand Soccer Website |date= |accessdate=2008-07-25 |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://www.webcitation.org/5hY1HMuud?url=http://www.ultimatenzsoccer.com/NZRepSoccer/id1708.htm |archivedate=15 June 2009 |df=dmy-all }} 7. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.ultimatenzsoccer.com/NZRepSoccer/id1842.htm |title=A-International Scorers - Overall |author= |publisher=The Ultimate New Zealand Soccer Website |date= |accessdate=2008-07-25 |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20080228182255/http://www.ultimatenzsoccer.com/NZRepSoccer/id1842.htm |archivedate=28 February 2008 |df=dmy-all }} 8. ^Profile of Harry Ngata on the NZPFA website {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20100513063131/http://nzpfa.co.nz/people |date=13 May 2010 }} External links
