This enzyme participates in histidine metabolism and aminoacyl-trna biosynthesis. NomenclatureHistidine-tRNA ligase belongs to the family of ligase enzymes, specifically those forming carbon-oxygen bonds in aminoacyl-tRNA and related compounds.
