It is endemic to Venezuela, where it is found in locations in the Coastal Range at elevations between {{convert|720|and|1000|m|abbr=on}} above sea level.[1][2] Its natural habitats are seasonal (semi-deciduous) forests where it occurs along streams. The eggs are laid on leaves overhanging a stream to which the hatched larvae drop and where they continue their development. It is threatened by habitat loss. However, it has declined also in pristine habitats, suggesting that chytridiomycosis (or other disease) may be at play. Its range includes the El Ávila National Park and the Macarao National Park.[1] References1. ^1 2 {{cite journal | authors = La Marca, E. & Señaris, C. | title = Hyalinobatrachium guairarepanense | journal = IUCN Red List of Threatened Species | volume= 2004 | page = e.T55016A11239290 | year = 2004 | doi = 10.2305/IUCN.UK.2004.RLTS.T55016A11239290.en }} {{Taxonbar|from=Q1942620}}{{Centrolenidae-stub}}2. ^{{cite web |url=http://research.amnh.org/vz/herpetology/amphibia/Amphibia/Anura/Centrolenidae/Hyalinobatrachinae/Hyalinobatrachium/Hyalinobatrachium-guairarepanense |title=Hyalinobatrachium guairarepanense Señaris, 2001 |author=Frost, Darrel R. |year=2016 |work=Amphibian Species of the World: an Online Reference.
