{{For|the actress |Ida Lee (actress)}}{{Use dmy dates|date=May 2015}}{{Use Australian English|date=May 2015}}Ida Louisa Lee, (11 February 1865 — 3 October 1943), historian and poet, was born at Kelso, New South Wales. She was elected a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.) in 1914[1] and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Australian Historical Society (Hon. F.R.A.H.S.). Lee wrote a number of historical texts, some of which contain previously unpublished material.[2]Lee was the third child of grazier and politician, George Lee, and Louisa (née Kite).
