Resolution No. 8/3-C, (I.S.) adopted by the Third Islamic Summit Conference, held in the cities of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Taif called for the establishment of an Islamic Fiqh (Jurisprudence) Academy (IFA). IFA was established in June 1983. Based in traditional Islamic sciences, the IFA seeks to advance knowledge in the realms of culture, science, and economics. The main goal of the IFA is to address issues related to humanity is accordance with Islamic law and ethics.
