As of the 2010 census, its population was 4,660 and it contained 2,136 housing units.[2] HistoryJackson Township was organized in 1817.[3] GeographyAccording to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of {{convert|28.33|sqmi}}, of which {{convert|27.98|sqmi}} (or 98.76%) is land and {{convert|0.35|sqmi}} (or 1.24%) is water.[2] Lakes in this township include Hi-Way Springs.
