词条 | James Elwood |
释义 |
Among the patients who received faulty diagnoses was archaeologist Carenza Lewis, who later spoke publicly about the consequences of the resulting unnecessary surgery.[5] Elwood was not subject to any disciplinary procedures, having removed his name from the British medical register. He initially refused to co-operate with the investigation of his misdiagnoses by not divulging the details of his medical career.[6] Elwood graduated with bachelor's degrees in medicine and surgery from the University of Belfast in 1943.[6] References1. ^{{cite news |url=https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2000/06/14/nelw14.xml |title=Doctor defied inquiry after 200 blunders |work=The Daily Telegraph |first=Michael |last=Fleet| date=16 June 2000 |accessdate=18 May 2007}} {{DEFAULTSORT:Elwood, James}}2. ^{{cite news |url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/788250.stm |title=Pathologist warnings 'went unheeded' |publisher=BBC News |date=13 June 2000 |accessdate=18 May 2007}} 3. ^{{cite news |url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/789029.stm |title=James Elwood: Chronology |date=13 June 2000 |accessdate=1 December 2012 |publisher=BBC News}} 4. ^{{cite news |url=http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-43259/Health-chiefs-slammed-cancer-sandal.html |title=Health chiefs slammed over cancer sandal |date=3 May 2001 |work=The Daily Telegraph}} 5. ^{{cite news |url=http://www.independent.ie/unsorted/features/my-nightmare-all-a-mis-take-514788.html |title=My nightmare all a 'mistake' |work=Independent.ie}} 6. ^1 {{cite news |url=https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1342711/Elwood-stays-silent-over-mystery-career.html |title=Elwood stays silent over mystery career |publisher=The Telegraph|first=Sean |last=O'Neill |date=16 June 2000 |accessdate=5 May 2010}} 3 : 1922 births|20th-century British medical doctors|Living people |
