Thelma Jean Grossholtz (born April 17, 1929) Professor Emeritus of Politics and Women's Studies at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Jean is a feminist-activist whose dedication and expertise on social justice issues—poverty, water, food, and the effects of globalization, to name a few—have made her a legend on the Mount Holyoke campus, in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts where she resides{{Citation needed|date=November 2007}}, and beyond. After completing undergraduate work at Pennsylvania State University in 1956 and a Master of Arts at the University of Denver in 1957, Jean went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1961, where she trained as a specialist in South East Asian Politics. Jean taught Politics and Women's Studies at Mount Holyoke College for 40 plus years. Jean has been a political activist all her life. Academic Publications:Grossholtz, Jean. 1964.
