In 1999, he ran as an independent General Assembly of New Jersey, to represent part of Bergen County. His slogan was "Sworn to Reform".[3] Mr. Hogue produced a number of low-budget films, including Warcat, Alienator, and Soldier's Fortune. In each of these films he also played a minor supporting acting role. Hogue is interviewed in a Charles Atlas documentary screened on the USA cable network Arts & Entertainment channel.
