Jesse Wilder is an American musician from Orange County, California.

Career

Wilder's first band was The Scholars,[1] in which he sang, played saxophone and keyboards, then began writing songs with Aaron Barrett for Reel Big Fish.{{Citation needed|date=February 2009}} With Isaiah Ikey Owens (Mars Volta) and others he formed Teen Heroes,[1] which played in the Orange County scene in the nineties and broke up in August 2000.

Soon later Wilder, with his old friend Scott Klopfenstein from The Scholars and Reel Big Fish, recorded an album under the name of Pal. Greg Parkin played drums, Ed Kampwirth played bass, and the album was produced by John Avila; however, the album was not released until years later due to Scott Klopfenstein's contract with Mojo Records.

He then made a living playing second guitar, keyboards and back up vocals for Neville Staple of The Specials, Chris Cacavas of (Green on Red, Giant Sand, Calexico), and others.{{Citation needed|date=November 2009}}

He founded Makeshift Love Affair with Pal's bassist Ed Kampwirth and Chris Clawson of My Superhero and the Neville Staple project. At the same time Klopfenstein had been playing along with Greg Parkin on drums, Wilder joined the group The Littlest Man Band and toured that winter in England. Soon later they released a studio album in September 2004 only to break up in 2006, as did Makeshift Love Affair. Since then Wilder had played briefly with The All-American Rejects and released various studio sessions.

His most recent band was ForceField On, whose first full-length album was released in 2007. He also played with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaiah_%22Ikey%22_Owens in Look Daggers, with rapper 2Mex. Along with former Teen Heroes guitarist, Peter Berberich, he made the music for the online multi-player puzzle game system called Skill City Games.
