The shooting was carried out by an alleged MS-13 member who shot another person of a rival gang.[5][6] Station layout{{NYCS Platform Layout IRT Flushing Line/local}}This elevated station has three tracks and two side platforms.[7] The center track is used by the peak direction <7> express service during rush hours.[2] Both platforms have beige windscreens and brown canopies with red support frames and columns in the center and beige, waist-high, steel fences with lampposts at regular intervals at either ends.[8][9] The windscreens have translucent panels by the exit staircases and the station signs are in the standard black name plates in white lettering.[10] ExitsThis station has one elevated station house below the center of the platforms and tracks. The north side has two staircases going down to either northern corners of 90th Street and Roosevelt Avenue while the south side has one staircase going down to the triangle formed by Roosevelt Avenue, Elmhurst Avenue, and Case Street.[11] Inside the station house is a token booth in the center.[12] On the south (geographical west) side is a turnstile bank that leads to a waiting area/crossover and one staircase going up to each platform.[13] On the north (geographical east) side, each side has a bank of two turnstiles and one staircase going up to the platform.[14] {{-|left}}References1. ^{{NYCS const|riderref}} 2. ^1 {{NYCS const|timetable|7}} 3. ^{{cite news|url=https://www.nytimes.com/1917/04/22/archives/transit-service-on-corona-extension-of-dual-subway-system-opened-to.html|title=Transit Service on Corona Extension of Dual Subway System Opened to the Public|date=April 22, 1917|newspaper=The New York Times|page=RE1|accessdate=October 2, 2011}} 4. ^{{Cite book|url=https://books.google.com/?id=MrAjAQAAMAAJ&dq=dyre+avenue+line&q=40th+street|title=Minutes and Proceedings|last=Authority|first=New York City Transit|date=1955|publisher=|year=|isbn=|location=|pages=|language=en|via=}} 5. ^{{Cite web|url=https://nypost.com/2019/02/04/fatal-subway-shooting-in-queens-was-gang-related-cops/|title=Fatal subway shooting in Queens was ‘gang-related’: cops|last=Moore|first=Tina|last2=Jaeger|first2=Max|date=February 4, 2019|website=New York Post|access-date=February 4, 2019}} 6. ^{{cite web | title=Queens Subway Shooting: MS-13 Member Is Arrested, Police Say | website=The New York Times | date=February 4, 2019 | url=https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/04/nyregion/subway-shooting-ms13-gang.html | access-date=February 6, 2019}} 7. ^{{NYCS const|trackref|trackbook3}} 8. ^{{Cite web|url=http://subwaynut.com/flushing_line/90_elmhurst/90_elmhurst15.jpg|title=Looking across to one of the street stairs and an odd translucent wall|last=Cox|first=Jeremiah|date=May 28, 2010|website=subwaynut.com|archive-url=|archive-date=|dead-url=|access-date=February 6, 2019}} 9. ^{{Cite web|url=http://subwaynut.com/flushing_line/90_elmhurst/90_elmhurst16.jpg|title=Approaching a platform end with modern speaker structures|last=Cox|first=Jeremiah|date=May 28, 2010|website=subwaynut.com|archive-url=|archive-date=|dead-url=|access-date=February 6, 2019}} 10. ^{{Cite web|url=http://subwaynut.com/flushing_line/90_elmhurst/90_elmhurst7.jpg|title=Looking across to the opposite platform at 90 St-Elmhurst Av|last=Cox|first=Jeremiah|date=May 28, 2010|website=subwaynut.com|archive-url=|archive-date=|dead-url=|access-date=February 6, 2019}} 11. ^1 {{cite web|title=MTA Neighborhood Maps: Corona|url=http://web.mta.info/maps/neighborhoods/qns/Q2_Corona2015.pdf|publisher=Metropolitan Transportation Authority|accessdate=September 20, 2015|date=2015}} 12. ^{{Cite web|url=http://subwaynut.com/flushing_line/90_elmhurst/90_elmhurst8.jpg|title=Approaching the turnstiles|last=Cox|first=Jeremiah|date=May 28, 2010|website=subwaynut.com|archive-url=|archive-date=|dead-url=|access-date=February 6, 2019}} 13. ^{{Cite web|url=http://subwaynut.com/flushing_line/90_elmhurst/90_elmhurst14.jpg|title=The portion of the mezzanine with the small waiting area and free crossunder|last=Cox|first=Jeremiah|date=May 28, 2010|website=subwaynut.com|archive-url=|archive-date=|dead-url=|access-date=February 6, 2019}} 14. ^{{Cite web|url=http://subwaynut.com/flushing_line/90_elmhurst/90_elmhurst10.jpg|title=The turnstiles for the Flushing-bound platform only and exit staircase that curves out from the middle of the station house|last=Cox|first=Jeremiah|date=May 28, 2010|website=subwaynut.com|archive-url=|archive-date=|dead-url=|access-date=February 6, 2019}} External links{{Commonscat|90th Street – Elmhurst Avenue (IRT Flushing Line)}}
