Jimmy Amadie (January 5, 1937 – December 10, 2013) was a jazz pianist and educator from Philadelphia.[1] He worked with Woody Herman and Mel Tormé. In 1960, his career as a musician was hindered by tendinitis. Surgery in the 1990s allowed him to return to the piano. In 1995 he released his first solo album, Always with Me.[2] He died of lung cancer on December 10, 2013 at the age of 76. Books
