释义 |
BiographyWoyee was born in Greenville, Sinoe County, in Liberia to a teacher and a medical office worker.[2] After his family moved to the capital Monrovia, Woyee helped to found "The Children of the Green Acres," one of the first bands that played Liberian-style music as opposed to U.S. pop music. In 1980, Woyee moved to the U.S. to attend the University of Minnesota, and, as of 2007, was working in Minnesota and producing Liberian-style music.[2] He once described the newly formed African Union as "a good idea that is guaranteed to go bad."[3] References1. ^{{cite web |url= http://www.everyculture.com/multi/Le-Pa/Liberian-Americans.html|title= Liberian-Americans|accessdate=2007-04-11 |last=Wells|first=Ken R.|work= Multicultural America|publisher=Thomson Corporation}} 2. ^1 {{cite web |url= http://www.cla.umn.edu/twocities/rprojs/liberian/joe.asp|title= Joe Woyee|accessdate=2007-04-05 |work= College of Liberal Arts website|publisher=University of Minnesota}} 3. ^{{cite web |url= http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/talking_point/debates/african/1356021.stm|title= African Union: Can it do better than the OAU?|accessdate=2007-04-11|date=2001-06-04|work=BBC Online|publisher=BBC}} External links
