He spent most of his 13-year professional career in Spain, amassing La Liga totals of 134 matches and five goals, almost all with Real Valladolid (six seasons). Club careerLozano was born in Cali. During his career he played for América de Cali, Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras (Brazil), Club América (Mexico), Real Valladolid and RCD Mallorca (Spain),[1] retiring in 2004 after a stint with C.F. Pachuca (Mexico).[2] Whilst at Mallorca, he helped them win the 2003 edition of the Copa del Rey.[3] While at the service of Valladolid, during a 29 September 2001 away match against Real Madrid which finished 2–2, opposing players blamed Lozano for whistling during a free kick, causing the opposing team to believe that the referee had blown the whistle and with the visitors profiting from the situation to score. He denied responsibility, saying it could have been any of the 90,000 spectators attending the game.[4][2] International careerLozano won 48 caps for Colombia during a ten-year span,[5] and was a participant at the 1994 and at 1998 FIFA World Cups.[2] He also represented the nation in three editions of the Copa América: 1993, 1995 and 1999.[6][7][8] References1. ^{{Cite news|url=https://as.com/futbol/2002/06/14/mas_futbol/1024005633_850215.html|title=Harold Lozano será presentado el lunes como nuevo fichaje "rojillo"|trans-title=Harold Lozano will be presented Monday as new "red" signing|newspaper=Diario AS|language=Spanish|date=14 June 2002|accessdate=14 December 2018}} 2. ^1 2 {{Cite news|url=https://blogs.20minutos.es/quefuede/2012/01/30/que-fue-de-harold-lozano-por-pucelano/|title=Qué fue de… Harold Lozano (por Pucelano)|trans-title=What happened to… Harold Lozano (by Pucelano)|newspaper=20 minutos|last=Casado|first=Edu|language=Spanish|date=30 January 2012|accessdate=14 December 2018}} 3. ^{{Cite news|url=http://elpais.com/diario/2003/06/29/deportes/1056837603_850215.html|title=Eto'o pone Mallorca a brindar|trans-title=Eto'o has Mallorca toasting|newspaper=El País|last=Miguelez|first=José|language=Spanish|date=29 June 2003|accessdate=5 April 2016}} 4. ^{{Cite news|url=https://www.eltiempo.com/archivo/documento/MAM-672010|title=Lozano chifló al Real Madrid|trans-title=Lozano whistled (the verb "chiflar" could also mean "make go crazy") Real Madrid|newspaper=El Tiempo|language=Spanish|date=2 October 2001|accessdate=14 December 2018}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.rsssf.com/miscellaneous/col-recintlp.html|title=Colombia – Record international players|publisher=RSSSF|accessdate=21 September 2008|deadurl=yes|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20081230210624/http://www.rsssf.com/miscellaneous/col-recintlp.html|archivedate=30 December 2008|df=}} 6. ^{{cite web|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20090321081724/http://rsssf.com/tables/93safull.html|title=Copa América 1993|publisher=RSSSF|accessdate=14 December 2018}} 7. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.rsssf.com/tables/95safull.html|title=Copa América 1995|publisher=RSSSF|accessdate=14 December 2018}} 8. ^{{cite web|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150709153240/http://www.rsssf.com/tables/99safull.html|title=Copa América 1999|publisher=RSSSF|accessdate=14 December 2018}} External links
