He was a prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 2002 to 2012. CareerAng began acting in 2001 and was one of four child actors who were cast by Jack Neo and his team in the box office hit I Not Stupid. He was cast in Homerun, another successful film. Ang soon rose to stardom and was cast in more films, including Nobody's Child. In 2008, after completing his National Service, Ang signed a contract with Mediacorp as a full-time artiste.[1] Ang also starred in Mediacorp Channel 8's 180 episode drama, Your Hand in Mine. In 2012, Joshua founded the online humour TV channel Reelity TV. His last drama was Your Hand in Mine.[2] with Nuffnang CEO Cheo Ming Shen. Personal lifeAng attended Pasir Ris Secondary School. After completing his O Levels, he served out his Singapore National Service term before joining Mediacorp on a full-time contract. On 15 July 2010, Ang announced that he would not be renewing his contract with Mediacorp to spend more time on his new startup, a recycling business, and with his family.[3] He made a brief return to television in Unriddle 2 to reprise his role as Liu Shisan and in films We Not Naughty and Timeless Love. The 29-year-old, who shot to fame after starring in Jack Neo’s hit movie I Not Stupid (2002), shared exclusively with 8 DAYS that his wife, air stewardess Shannon Low, 27, is expecting. “We're still in the early stages of the pregnancy, but everything's pretty normal so far,” he says. “But of course, I'm doing my part to take good care of her. I will make sure she has the emotional support she needs throughout this journey and that all her cravings are satisfied.” The couple got hitched at a beach wedding held at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa last Saturday (Mar 3). They spent close to $50,000 on the nuptials, which saw a total of 180 guests in attendance, including his former I Not Stupid co-star Shawn Lee. Joshua, who left showbiz in 2012, is now working in sales for a liquor company. He met Shannon two years ago when he was studying part-time for a Banking and Finance degree in Murdoch University. Besides I Not Stupid, Joshua also starred in several Ch 8 shows like long-form drama Your Hand In Mine (2009-2010), Table of Glory (2009) and Unriddle (2010), as well as local movies Homerun (2003) and Timeless Love (2012). On his soon-to-be father status, Joshua says: “I was very happy when I found out that I was going to be a dad. We’re guessing it’s a boy and have even thought of a couple of names for the baby (laughs).” He adds: “We’re worried about our finances as raising a kid can be financially taxing, but of course, we will do our best for our child.
