Early lifeLangi was born in New Zealand with Niuean and Tongan heritage. While attending Trinity Catholic College in Auburn, New South Wales, Langi played for the Australian Schoolboys team in 1999.[2] Playing careerLangi made his first grade debut for St George against Canterbury in Round 3 2000. Langi then joined Melbourne and played with the club between 2001 and 2003 before joining Parramatta in 2004. Langi became a regular starter for Parramatta and made 16 appearances for the club. Langi signed for Salford in 2005.
