It is located about {{convert|15|km}} east of Isfjorden and about {{convert|20|km}} east of Åndalsnes. The lake Eikesdalsvatnet lies about {{convert|5|km}} to the east of the mountain. The mountain Kyrkjetaket lies about {{convert|9|km}} to the northwest.[1] The mountain is {{convert|1712|m}} tall. The summit climb is close to scrambling, but a rope is recommended for the final {{convert|20|to|30|m}}.
