{{BLP refimprove|date=March 2019}}Jørn Tomter (born 1975) is a Norwegian-born photographer living and working in Clapton, London.[1]

Career

His documentary-based work has been exhibited throughout London, among others at Victoria & Albert Museum, Notting Hill Arts Club, and Pentagram Gallery, and published in magazines.{{cn|date=March 2019}} He has also contributed to STÆRK, a DVD which was part of the May 2005 issue of Creative Review. The DVD was a production of the Norwegian Embassy in London to promote Norwegian artists in the UK.

Tomter's first book The Norwegian Way was published by Generation Yacht in 2007. It is a documentary, made over five years, about the unique end-of-school celebration in Norway called Russ.[1]

He founded the Scandinavian art collective Beachclub which was promoting Scandinavian photography, art and music in London and co-founded Super Magazine.

Tomter is working on a photography project to document his neighbourhood in Lower Clapton around Chatsworth Road.[2] The project named I Love Chatsworth Road has been published in two magazines and shown in numerous exhibitions.
