The album, a compilation of singles and EP tracks, was released on the Minty Fresh label in the United States in September 1998 as her debut album in the country. It features the same track listing as Japan's Best on the Trattoria Label and More compilation of the same year, as well as shared artwork with an earlier import release, My First Karie. The album includes collaborations with Momus, Cornelius, and Philippe Katerine, as well as covers of songs from the 1960s and 1970s by Michel Berger and Jorge Ben.
