Kannada University,[1] also called as Hampi Kannada University or Hampi University, Kannada University, Hampi is a research-oriented public university in Hampi, Karnataka, founded in 1991 by the Government of Karnataka through Kannada University Act, 1991,[2] with the aim to develop the Kannada language and to promote the literature, traditions, culture, and folklore of Karnataka.

  • Adalitanga (Administrative wing)
  • Adhyayananga (Academic wing)
  • Prasaranga (Publication wing)

  • Integrated M.A.Ph.D. in Kannada literature where a degree holder can complete post graduation and research. This course is of four years duration.

Awards

The University confers "Nadoja" awards, every year, which is equivalent to the Honorary [Doctor of Literature] (D.Litt.) degree. The award which has been instituted by the University is given to eminent personalities for their contribution in various fields.[3]
