Keating (Irish spelling: Céitinn) is an old Irish family name which originated with the Cambro Norman invaders in the 12th century, mostly settling in Wexford in the province of Leinster, where the most prominent family was based at Baldwinstown castle.{{Citation needed|date=July 2010}} Variant spellings include Keatinge.
