After serving as an assistant with the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2004 to 2007,[2] Natt was named to the coaching staff of newly appointed Kings head coach and former Kansas City Kings teammate Reggie Theus in 2007.[3] He was subsequently named interim head coach on the firing of Theus, but he himself was fired on April 24, 2009, after the Kings finished with an NBA season-low 17 wins.[4] Professional playing careerNatt was selected with the 7th pick of the second round (30th overall) in the 1980 NBA draft by the Indiana Pacers.[2][5] He played for three different teams until the 1984–85 season. Outside of his NBA career, he played for seven[6] total teams in the CBA and the WBL.[2] Coaching careerNatt began his coaching career in 1994 as an assistant coach at Youngstown State University. Natt then worked as a scout for the Utah Jazz for one season under Jerry Sloan before being an assistant on Sloan's staff from 1996 to 2004.[9] After that, Natt joined the Cleveland Cavaliers' coaching staff in 2004.[7] He has also coached in the CBA and the Canadian NBL with the Cape Breton Breakers, and worked as an assistant coach at Youngstown State University and as a player scout for the Jazz and for the WBL.[2] In 2011, he became the head coach of the India national basketball team.[8] Since 2012, Natt has been director of basketball at the IMG Academy.[9] In 2003, Kenny Natt was inducted into the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) Hall of Fame.[2] He is the younger brother of former NBA All-Star Calvin Natt.[6] Head coaching record{{NBA coach statistics legend}}{{NBA coach statistics start}}|- | style="text-align:left;"|Sacramento | style="text-align:left;"|{{nbay|2008}} |58||11||47||{{Winning percentage|11|47}}|| style="text-align:center;"|5th in Pacific||—||—||—||— | style="text-align:center;"|— |- class="sortbottom" | align="center" colspan="2"|Career |58||11||47||{{Winning percentage|11|47}}|| ||—||—||—||—{{s-end}} References1. ^Theus becomes 6th NBA coach fired this season, updated December 15, 2008 2. ^1 2 3 4 NBA.com Kenny Natt coach profile 3. ^Kings hire Kenny Natt as assistant coach, updated July 7, 2007 4. ^Kings fire interim coach Natt, four assistant coaches {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20090426080203/http://www.nba.com/2009/news/04/23/kings.natt.fired.ap/index.html |date=2009-04-26 }}, updated April 24, 2009 5. ^{{cite web |url= http://www.nba.com/media/pacers/Pacers%20Media%20Guide_NBA%20Years%201976-Present.pdf |title= Pacers Media Guide: NBA Years 1976-Present |deadurl= yes |archiveurl= https://web.archive.org/web/20070508044626/http://www.nba.com/media/pacers/Pacers%20Media%20Guide_NBA%20Years%201976-Present.pdf |archivedate= 2007-05-08 |df= }} {{small|(653 KiB)}}; retrieved April 13, 2007 6. ^1 An exciting time for Natt{{dead link|date=December 2017 |bot=InternetArchiveBot |fix-attempted=yes }} By MARQ MITCHAM June 5, 2007 7. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.nba.com/coachfile/kenny_natt/|title=Kenny Natt|publisher=NBA|accessdate=June 29, 2015|date=2007}} 8. ^I'm here to create a superstar, says India's NBA coach Kenny Natt 9. ^1 http://www.imgacademy.com/sports/boys-basketball/coaches/coach/kenny-natt External links
