The college is owned by the Kettering Medical Center and chartered by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Kettering College’s Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree program is the only Physician Assistant program offered in southwest Ohio . The college was built in 1967 next to the Charles F. Kettering Memorial Hospital. Presidents

In October, 2014, Kettering College received approval to offer a PhD program in Occupational Therapy.[5] It is the college's first PhD program.
