Licensed to Fort Smith, Arkansas, United States, it serves the Fort Smith area. The station is currently owned by Fred H. Baker, Jr., through licensee Star 92, Co. During the 1950s, Marion Roland Hundley (1926-2008), as a sales representative at the radio station, helped to launch KFSA-TV (now KFSM-TV), the first television station in Fort Smith. He went on to establish the first advertising agency in northwestern Arkansas.
