The station lies on the DART line. The entrance to the station is via Station Road. It is located about 2 minutes walk to Killiney Beach. Many Irish writers and celebrities including Jane Emily Herbert, Maeve Binchy, Hugh Leonard, Bono, Van Morrison and Enya live near the station. The station became unmanned in 2013 and it has two automatic ticket vending machines. A large pay & display car park is located across the road from the station. HistoryThe original station was located on nearby Seafield Road. As it proved inconvenient for residents, it was moved to its present location on 6 May 1882 under the name Killiney & Ballybrack and replaced separate stations at Killiney and Ballybrack, the Ballybrack suffix was dropped in 1921. The original Killiney station had itself replaced the earlier Obelisk Hill, Killiney station on 1 January 1858.[1] {{IERail start}}{{rail line|previous=Dalkey|next=Shankill|route=DARTTrans-Dublin|col=00bb00}}{{Disused Rail Insert}}{{Rail line|previous=Dalkey Line and station open |next=Woodbrook Line open, station closed |route=Dublin and South Eastern Railway|col=00008B}}{{s-end}} See also
