KMFY (96.9 FM) is a radio station licensed to Grand Rapids, Minnesota. KMFY covers the counties of Itasca, Aitkin, Cass and western St. Louis. KMFY broadcasts local weather, sports, local news, and community events.

History

KMFY (at the time known as KNNS) was sold to Kirwin Broadcasting in 1989 by Mike and Mary Ives. It became KMFY. In 2001, the station was sold to Itasca Broadcasting. Lamke Broadcasting purchased the station in 2012.

Michelle Lee, a popular long-time news anchor at area NBC affiliate KBJR-TV started her broadcast career at KMFY.

KMFY is a sister station to Lamke Broadcasting's KOZY and KBAJ.
