KMYT (94.5 FM, Radio 94.5) is an Adult Album Alternative radio station in Temecula, California. The station is owned and operated by iHeartMedia, Inc.. The station's webcast is on the iHeartRadio app. KMYT is one of few iHeart owned stations to not have an HD Radio signal.

This station has been broadcasting the Triple A format since August 29, 2014.

History

This station signed on in 1999 as KTMK, although it began repeating KOGO shortly after it signed on, the heritage news/talk station in San Diego. Clear Channel wanted a more reliable signal for KOGO in southern Riverside County, which has become a significant exurb of San Diego (and also of Los Angeles, for that matter). The callsign became KOGO-FM in 2001. One year later, Clear Channel changed the simulcast from that of KOGO to that of hot adult contemporary station KMYI and the station became KMYT  . The format lasted for two years until the simulcast was broken and the station flipped to smooth jazz, which would last 10 years. At this point, it became a local station for the Temecula area, alongside KTMQ. Due to sliding ratings in the smooth jazz format both in-market and nationally, KMYT flipped to its present Triple A format on August 29, 2014.

Following KLVJ's switch to CCM in September 2015, KMYT became the only commercially operating Triple A station in Southern California, if not the entire state.

In February 2019, the station unveiled a new logo, still keeping the Radio brand and format.

Sports programming

As of 2019, KMYT is now the radio home of the Lake Elsinore Storms Baseball Games, which were previously carried on Entercom's country station KXFG 92.9 FM Which is a simulcast of nearby KFRG 95.1. It is the only brokered programming carried by the station.
