The station is owned by the NBC Owned Television Stations subsidiary of NBCUniversal (itself a subsidiary of Comcast). KULX-CD's transmitter is located on Farnsworth Peak in the Oquirrh Mountains, southwest of Salt Lake City. The station's signal is simulcast on Salt Lake City-licensed sister station KTMW (channel 20) to expand its broadcast radius. KULX-CD is also relayed on KUTA-LD (VHF digital channel 8) in Logan, KQTI-LD (UHF digital channel 14) in Odgen, KULU-LD (UHF digital channel 16) in Park City, and KEJT-CD (UHF digital channel 21) in Salt Lake City. On July 30, 2015, Airwaves, Inc. filed an application to sell KULX-CD, KQTI-LD and KULU-CD to Serestar Communications, who immediately took over the station's operations through a time brokerage agreement (TBA).[1] The sale was completed on October 7, 2015.[2] Serestar agreed to sell KULX-CD, KQTI-LD, KULU-CD, and KTMW to NBCUniversal on November 28, 2018, as part of a $21 million deal;[3] that transaction closed on March 5, 2019.[4] NBCUniversal already owned the KEJT-CD license, with Serestar operating it under a TBA that was terminated concurrent with the sale.[5] {{multiple image| direction = vertical | align = right | width = 120 | image1 = TelemundoUtah.png | caption1 = | image2 = KULX logo.JPG | caption2 = Older station logos. }} Digital televisionDigital channelsThe station's digital signal is multiplexed:
