LaureLive

LaureLive is a two-day music festival on Laurel School's Butler Campus that began in 2016.

The festival began when Laurel School reached out to The Elevation Group with the idea of having music programming at the pavilion on campus. The idea evolved and in June, 2016, the first LaureLive was held. [3]

The festival, currently in its 3rd year, the festival has attracted national acts such as Foster the People, Fitz and the Tantrums, Cold War Kids, among others. [4]

As a result of the festival, Laurel School has added classes on music management and festival planning.[3]

It is thought to be the only multi-day music festival in the US that is located at a school, but not a college or university.[3]

News coverage

In 2002 a teacher at the school was accused of rape.[5]

In 2017 a former employee at the school was accused of theft.[6]
