The League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) is an organization of municipalities in the State of Minnesota. The LMC was founded in 1913 by a special law of. the Minnesota Legislature. It was initially a part of the Extension Division of the University of Minnesota. In 1974, the League became an independent organization. Today{{when|date=April 2018}}, the LMC membership includes more than 800 cities and their elected and appointed officials, as well as numerous special districts and townships.
