At the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) she was coached by Terry Gathercole. She was named AIS Athlete of the Year in 1991.[1] In 1996, Frame retired from swimming after developing chronic fatigue syndrome.[2][3] Frame was a poolside interviewer for Channel Seven at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, and was a studio pundit for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. In 2009, Frame made a comeback to swimming. Competing at the 2009 World Masters Games, she won a gold medal in the W35-39 50m breaststroke event, beating the second-place swimmer by more than 3 seconds.[4] Frame now holds FINA Masters World Records for the W40-44 age group in 50m breaststroke and 100m breaststroke events.[5][6] She competed at the 2014 FINA World Masters Championships in Montreal, and won gold medals in the W40-44 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke events. {{As of|2014}}, Frame works at Swimming Victoria as Athlete and Coach Liaison Officer.[7] Since 2001, she has been an ambassador for Red Dust Role Models, a charity that visits remote Aboriginal communities throughout the Northern Territory and Western Australia, teaching children the importance of a healthy lifestyle and good education.[8]References1. ^AIS Athlete of the Year Past Winners {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20120326155524/http://www.ausport.gov.au/ais/history/awards/athlete_of_the_year/past_winners |date=26 March 2012 }} 2. ^{{cite news|url=http://sacfs.asn.au/news/2012/05/05_03_champion_swimmer_fights_for_understanding.htm|title=Champion swimmer fights for understanding of 'the most misunderstood' disease|publisher=ME/CFS Australia (Victoria)|date=3 May 2012|accessdate=11 November 2015}} 3. ^{{cite web|title=Linley Frame: Olympian and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferer|url=http://www.abc.net.au/local/audio/2012/05/04/3495770.htm|accessdate=20 April 2014}} 4. ^{{cite web|title=Swimming - 15 October 2009 - Day 6 Results|url=http://www.sportingpulse.com/get_file.cgi?id=787036|accessdate=20 April 2014|location=p15}} 5. ^FINA WORLD MASTERS RECORDS - LONG COURSE METERS AS OF DEC 31, 2013 {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20141106070137/http://www.fina.org/H2O/docs/masters/wrtop10/WRLLCM.pdf |date= 6 November 2014 }} 6. ^FINA WORLD MASTERS RECORDS - SHORT COURSE METERS AS OF DEC 31, 2013 {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20141106064725/http://www.fina.org/H2O/docs/masters/wrtop10/WRLSCM.pdf |date= 6 November 2014 }} 7. ^{{cite web|title=Staff Profile: Linley Frame |url=http://vic.swimming.org.au/visageimages/Competitions/Championship_Events/Age_Championships/Newsletter_5_-_Wed_18_Dec_2013_-_FINAL.pdf |publisher=Swimming Victoria |accessdate=20 April 2014 |location=p2 |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20140228015451/http://vic.swimming.org.au/visageimages/Competitions/Championship_Events/Age_Championships/Newsletter_5_-_Wed_18_Dec_2013_-_FINAL.pdf |archivedate=28 February 2014 |df= }} 8. ^Red Dust Role Models - Linley Frame {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160304051229/http://www.reddust.org.au/role-models/linley-frame |date=4 March 2016 }}.
