The California Golden Bears college football team competes as part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), representing the University of California, Berkeley in the North Division of the Pac-12 Conference (Pac-12). Since the establishment of the team in 1886, California has appeared in 22 bowl games,[1] including eight appearances in the Rose Bowl Game.[1] Their latest bowl appearance was the 2015 Lockheed Martin Armed Forces, where California defeated Air Force 55–36,[1] bringing the Golden Bears' overall bowl record to 11–10–1.
