{{hatnote|This is a general list of exoplanets. For other lists, see lists of planets.}}This is a list of exoplanets. {{As of|2019|3|14|url=https://exoplanetarchive.ipac.caltech.edu/}}, there are 3,926 confirmed exoplanets. The majority of these planets were discovered by the Kepler space telescope. In addition to the confirmed exoplanets, there are 2,423 potential exoplanets from its first mission that are yet to be confirmed, and 536 from its "Second Light" mission.[2] For yearly lists on physical, orbital and other properties, as well as on discovery circumstances and other aspects, see {{section link||Specific exoplanet lists}} Nomenclature{{#section:Exoplanet|nomenclature}} Methods of detection{{Image frame|content=|pie chart |radius = 125 |slices = ( 1 : Astrometry : #3D81FF ) ( 45 : Direct imaging : #FF2600 ) ( 729 : Radial velocity : #333333 ) ( 3037 : Transit : #FFA500 ) ( 15 : Transit-timing variation : #008B00 ) ( 9 : Eclipse timing variation : #FFFF00 ) ( 75 : Microlensing : purple ) ( 6 : Pulsar timing variation : white ) ( 2 : Pulsation timing variation : #00CCCC ) ( 6 : Orbital brightness modulation : #B2F368 ) |units suffix = |percent = true{{#section:Exoplanet|detection}} Specific exoplanet lists- List of exoplanets (full)Full list of exoplanets
