It lies on the A624 between Hayfield and Glossop.[1] At the centre of the hamlet is the Lantern Pike pub. Sheepdog trials and fell racing take place in Little Hayfield.[2] From Clough Mill, a former water-powered and later steam-powered textile mill[3] converted to apartments in 1989, a footpath leads to the summit of Lantern Pike.[1] {{-}}References1. ^1 {{cite map |publisher=Ordnance Survey |title=Explorer map OL1: Dark Peak Area |scale=1:25000 |series=Explorer |isbn=0319240673 |date=2009}} {{Derbyshire-geo-stub}}2. ^{{cite web | url=http://hayfieldshow.co.uk/Whats_on.html | publisher=Hayfield Sheepdog Trials | title=What's on | accessdate=15 October 2012 | deadurl=yes | archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20120920134335/http://hayfieldshow.co.uk/Whats_on.html | archivedate=20 September 2012 | df= }} 3. ^{{Cite web|url=http://www.derbyshireheritage.co.uk/Menu/Archaeology/Mills.html|title=Derbyshire and Peak District Mills|year=2009|publisher=Derbyshire Heritage|accessdate=30 March 2016}} 3 : Hamlets in Derbyshire|Towns and villages of the Peak District|High Peak |
