}}Lovecraft's Book is a historical novel by author Richard A. Lupoff. It was released in 1985 by Arkham House in an edition of 3,544 copies. It was the author's first book published by Arkham House. Plot summaryThe story concerns an offer made to H. P. Lovecraft by a fascist sympathizer, George Sylvester Viereck. His offer is to have Lovecraft write a political tract in the nature of an American Mein Kampf. In return, Viereck promises the publication of a volume of Lovecraft's stories. - Ramble House, 2000, as A Novel of H.P. Lovecraft. {{ISBN|978-0-9774527-3-6}}. Cover art by Gavin L. O'Keefe. This is the complete text of the original novel as written by Lupoff. The book was cut by half for another publisher before being picked up for publication by Arkham House. The original manuscript was presumed lost for over 20 years before surfacing in the private library of Locus Publisher, Charles N. Brown.
