Madhira Subbanna Deekshitulu (1868-1928) is the creator of the famous Kasi Majilee Kathalu, series of short stories in Telugu language, known for their wit and humor.[1][2]

He is a famous Telugu author who at the peak of his career, sold the rights to his stories to a publisher in Rajahmundry.

Four of his stories have been made into Telugu feature films:[3]
