Mahwa is a census town in Mahwa Mandal, Dausa district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

Geography

Mahwa is located {{convert|62|km|mi}} from its district main city, Dausa, and {{convert|114|km|mi}} from its state main city Jaipur.{{convert |35|km|mi}} form Hindaun City. Mahwa, Jaipur, Dausa and Bharatpur are all situated on NH-11 (Agra to Bikaner).

Mahwa is located on National Highway 11 (Jaipur-Agra Highway) which comes on the route of Golden Triangle (Delhi-Agra-Jaipur). It is 123 km from the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur and 113.5 km from Agra.

Om Prakash Hudla, an independent candidate won the constituency of Mahuwa by 9985 votes in the Assembly elections 2018.
Omprakash Hudla (elected in 2013 BJP) is the current MLA from Mahawa. Mr. Hudla has now become Sansadiya Sachiv.
As Mahwa is on the route of Golden Triangle, it hosts lot of tourists. There are lots of Midway Rest Stops here to welcome the foreign guests. RTDC is a Midway Rest Stop that belongs to Government of Rajasthan. Motel Gangaur is also a renowned Midway Rest Stop located just 5 km from Mahwa.
Here is also a Govt. Sr. Sec School named by GHSS,Mahwa.

Mahwa has now become forth Nagar Palika of Dausa district. Mr. S.K. Meena is the first Executive Officer of Mahwa Nagarpalika. Mr. Vijay Shankar Bohra will be the Chairman.

Educational Institutes

There was a boom in the education sector from 2002 when a first graduation college was opened in Mahwa, and nowadays there are more than one dozen PG colleges, and many English schools and coaching centres in Mahwa. The Main Govt. Sr. Sec. School is named after Rajasthan's First CM Mr. Tikaram Paliwal.There are many schools and colleges in Mahwa.

There is a Ganesh Mandir located at the heart of Mahwa "Ganesh Chowk".
There is a famous and old temple of (Hanuman ji) named as Mandir Peetaliya Balaji situated at village (Peetaliya Balaji).
There is a Mahadev Mandir Located at Mahwa Fort, also known as "Bade Mahadev Ji".
Mehandipur Balaji, 17 km from Mahwa towards Jaipur, is a popular religious place, famous for the divinity of Balaji.
