History

Marion Township was organized in 1857.^[2]

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of {{convert|36.11|sqmi}}, of which {{convert|35.41|sqmi}} (or 98.06%) is land and {{convert|0.7|sqmi}} (or 1.94%) is water.^[1]
