She was elected to the city councilor as representative of second district of Caloocan City from 2007 to 2013.[2] Her sisters, Claudine and Gretchen Barretto, and her daughter Julia are also actresses.[3][4] She has 5 children: Aynrand Danielle “Dani” (with Kier Legaspi), Julia Francesca “Julia”, Claudia Isabelle “Claudia”, Leon Marcus “Leon” (with ex-husband Dennis Padilla), and Erich (with Caloocan City Representative Enrico Echiverri).
