Marucci Sports is an American manufacturer of products and apparel for the baseball and softball markets that was originally founded as Marucci Bat Company in 2004 by former MLB first round picks Kurt Ainsworth (Pitcher for the San Francisco Giants) and Joe Lawrence (Catcher/OF for Toronto Blue Jays) and LSU athletic trainer Jack Marucci. Marucci Bat Company became Marucci Sports in 2009, and the founders then brought on former White House Assistant Press Secretary, Reed Dickens. He was the first CEO from 2009 to 2012.
