释义

  1. Notes

{{refimprove|date=September 2010}}Abel-mizraim (the "meadow of Egypt", or "mourning of Egypt")[1] is a place "beyond," or west, of the Jordan river, at the "threshing-floor of Atad." Here the Egyptians mourned seven days for Jacob (Genesis {{bibleref2-nb|Genesis|50:4-11|KJV}}). Its exact site is unknown.[2]

The name Abel-mizraim is only mentioned once in the Hebrew Bible.[3]

Notes

1. ^Meadow of Egypt, would come from Abel (Meadow) and Mizraim (Egypt). "Mourning of Egypt" would come from Ebel (Mourning).
