}}Mineola High School is a high school in the Mineola Union Free School District and is located in Garden City Park, New York. It serves parts of Mineola, Albertson, Williston Park, Garden City Park, and Roslyn Heights within its district.[1]

It opened in 1962, replacing the old high school, which now houses the middle school. It recently underwent a multimillion-dollar refurbishing of the library. Since 1981, it has been fully accredited by the Middle States Evaluation Committee. The most recent rankings in New York State show the school district that feeds the high school to have an overall rank in the 91st percentile, Ranking 56th out of 695 districts in the state.

As of the 2014-15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 972 students and 80.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.1:1. There were 185 students (19.0% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 49 (5.0% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.[2]

In 2006 Mineola High School became the first Scholastic colorguard program on Long Island to attend the prestigious WGI World Championships. In February 2009 Mineola Red was crowned the WGI Northeast Regional Scholastic A Champions at Trumbull, Connecticut, and in April 2009 finished 21st out of 102 units in the at the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio. Assorted

Mineola's mascot is the Mustang, replacing the “maroons” in the early 1960s. While its original colors were maroon and gray, a combination of phase-outs and availability of products forced a switch in the mid-1970s to red and white. Its current color scheme is red, white, and black.

The Mineola High School, as well as the Middle School served as a filming location for the movie Detachment directed by Tony Kaye.
