Miras provides education in a choice of three languages. Kindergarten to Grade 12 classes are offered for Kazakhstani students and foreign nationals. Miras International School was founded by Nursultan Nazarbayev's found, and it has an office in Astana as well. Miras Almaty is Accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). Miras Almaty is the first and only international school in Almaty authorized to offer all 3 IB Programmes. In Primary, an integration of Kazakh and IB Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) is provided. Miras Almaty provides a choice among studying primarily in Russian, English or Kazak Language. The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) integrated with the Kazakhstan National Curriculum is offered to students from grade 6 to 10. Students have the option of taking the IB Diploma Programme and/or the Kazakhstan National Program for their last two years of study. Every Kazakhstani student is required to study Russian, Kazakh and English languages and French is offered for expatriate students. Miras Almaty also provides Pre-School, Middle School, High-School and Kindergarten programs. International StreamMiras International School of Almaty had 11 nationalities represented during the 2016-17 academic year. In 2017-18 A French section will be added in the Primary grades. MISMUN Model United NationsThe Miras International School of Almaty hosts the annual Model United Nations conference each year in late February. Schools from across Kazakhstan and other countries attend the annual event. It is the largest MUN conference for secondary schools in Kazakhstan annually. Facilities and sportsThe campus facilities include science and computer laboratories with Internet access. The school has a greenhouse, two libraries, a swimming pool, football pitch, outdoor basketball and tennis courts, two gymnasiums, a fitness room and a climbing wall.
