It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark.[1] The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Secondary Schools since 1971.[2] As of the 2015-16 school year, the school had an enrollment of 274 students and 21.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.6:1. The school's student body was 39.1% White, 14.2% Black, 14.6% Hispanic, 23.0% Asian, and 9.1% two or more races.[3] BackgroundThe school is staffed by the Sisters of Charity of Convent Station, New Jersey, as well as lay faculty members. The school considers itself a community composed of students, their parents, the administration, the faculty and staff, the alumnae and their parents, and represents a multi-ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic population. It is housed in a two-level building located on a campus of {{convert|27|acre|m2}}. It contains three science laboratories, two main computer rooms, and several (COW) computer carts with wireless computers that are available for classroom use. The entire building has wireless access as well as wired connections. The Library/Media Center and classrooms have internet accessibility. The school also has SmartBoards and laser printers. Each faculty member has a laptop computer with SMARTboard access in the classroom for easy access.[4] An art studio and a foods and clothing laboratory aid instruction in fine and related arts for all students. A chapel, cafeteria, gymnasium and fitness center are also contained within the building. The grounds are equipped with three tennis courts, a softball field and soccer field.[4] AcademicsMother Seton Regional High School offers a four-year college preparatory curriculum, and the academic program provides emphasis on math and science. The school also offers honors programs and AP classes. Extracurricular activitiesAthleticsThe Mother Seton Regional High School Setters[5] compete in the Greater Middlesex Conference, which operates under the supervision of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association.[6] Sports offered include: Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball, Bowling, Basketball, Swimming, Softball, Track and Field, Cross Country and Golf.[5] Clubs and activitiesClubs and activities include: Drama Club, Student Council, Seton Ambassador Team, Mentor Program, Peer Tutoring, Current Events League, Gospel Choir, Seton Ensemble, Forensics Team, Art Show, Math League, Science League, Academic Challenge Team, Setonaire (newspaper), Sojourn (yearbook), Driftwood (literary magazine), Tech Team, and Dance Team.
