Mount Hagen Airport {{airport codes|HGU|AYMH}} is an airport in Mount Hagen, Papua New Guinea.

History

The only international flights from Mount Hagen Airport began on 1 February 2017; PNG Air provides flights to Jayapura, Indonesia, three times a week.[1] The flights mark the resumption of direct air service between Papua New Guinea and Western New Guinea, which was last available in the 1990s.[2]

Air Nuigini operates daily services to Port Moresby with Fokker 100 aircraft.

Facilities

Mt. Hagen International airport has one main terminal housing Air Niugini, Hevilift, and airlines PNG. The airport facility has been rebuilt from the ground up, and reopened in November 2015.

Kagamuga Airport has two different runways.
