Geographic DistributionThere are about 1,500 Mpi in the Nan and Phrae Provinces of Thailand. [1] OriginThe Mpi came to Laos during the 18th century from the Yunnan Province of China.{{fact|date=January 2008}} They migrated shortly afterwards to Thailand.[2] They are of Lolo descent.
